Getting started
What is Framebook?
Framebook is a Figma plugin that turns your logo, colors, typography, and brand assets into a complete, editable brand guideline.
Does Framebook work directly in Figma?
Yes. Your guideline is generated directly inside Figma and stays fully editable.
Do I need a Figma account?
Yes. Framebook runs inside Figma, so you need a Figma account and edit access to the file you are generating into.
Where do I get the plugin?
Free on the Figma Community — search for Framebook, or follow the Figma Plugin link in the footer. The first three pages of any template generate without an account. Create one when you want the rest; that is where your Pro key comes from.
Templates
Can I use my own brand guideline template?
Yes. With Framebook Pro, you can turn your existing Figma guideline into a reusable template and use it again for future clients.
Do I have to use a Framebook template?
No. You can start with one of Framebook’s templates or create your own reusable template.
What does it take to turn my file into a template?
Three things, once: name the layers Framebook should fill, bind your fills to color variables, and use text styles for type. How it works walks through all three.
Can one template serve every client?
That is the point of it. Framebook Pro puts no limit on brands, so the same template can produce a guideline for as many clients as you have.
Plans and billing
What does the free version include?
You can try Framebook for free and generate the first 3 pages of a guideline. Upgrade to Pro to generate the complete guideline.
What’s included in Framebook Pro?
Framebook Pro includes complete guideline generation, all Framebook templates, unlimited brands, custom templates, and fully editable Figma output.
How much does Framebook cost?
Framebook Pro is $19/month, or $90/year when billed annually.
Is the free version a trial?
No. The first 3 pages are free and they stay free — there is no clock running on them.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time. You’ll keep access until the end of your current billing period.
What happens if a payment fails?
You keep your access while the payment is retried. If it cannot be collected the subscription ends and you go back to the free version.
What happens to my guidelines if I cancel?
Nothing. They are Figma files in your own account, and Framebook does not reach back into them.
Your work
Who owns what comes out?
You do. It is your layout, filled with your client’s brand, in your Figma file.
Where are my custom templates stored?
With your Framebook account, so they are waiting the next time you open the plugin — on any machine you sign in from.
